CLIENT / DIOCESE OF ST. PETERSBURG

March for LifeAnd TheProcessional Vada

The first March for Life in Tampa brought together people, prayer, and public witness in the heart of the city. Working with the Diocese of St. Petersburg, Parrot Productions documented the event from the ground and the air while also helping tell the story of a restored processional vada (called vara in Italian) carried by families from Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic Church—now Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic Shrine.

The case study

Documenting faith in motion

The project

This collaboration called for more than simple event coverage. The March itself was a significant public moment, but the restored vada added another layer of history, craftsmanship, and devotion.

Our goal was to capture both: the energy of the procession and the story behind the object being carried through it.

Our approach

We filmed the March for Life on location, combining ground-level coverage with drone perspectives to show the scale and movement of the event. Alongside the event highlight film, we helped spotlight the restored processional vada and the families who brought it back into use.

The visual story moves between people, place, and tradition—showing how a public event can also carry generations of memory and meaning.

Results

The finished highlight film gives the Diocese a lasting record of the March for Life while introducing viewers to the history and significance of the restored vada. It is a story about faith in motion: carried by families, witnessed by a community, and brought to life through the highlight film.
